for Individuals with Binge Eating Disorder
DBT-BED is an expansive treatment for individuals who have complex mental health issues and co-occurring Binge Eating Disorder and wish to reduce their problem eating behaviors. These are adaptations to the DBT program specific to individuals struggling with Binge-Eating Disorder and other mental illness diagnosis.
Goals of this program include:
- Building a Life Worth Living without reliance on problem eating behaviors. 
- Increasing motivation to reduce or stop binge eating. 
- Increasing awareness of urges to binge and learning skills to tolerate and reduce them. 
- Increasing awareness of emotional relationship with food and the problematic eating responses. 
- Structuring the environment to support a life of recovery from BED. 
- Reduce mental health symptoms that compound BED.
